Hammerlock Safety Chain Holder to 3.5t

Safety Chain Holder up to 3.5t Safety chain holders are used by caravans and trailers up to 3.5t. Safety chains measuring 10 mm and 13 mm can be used with this holder.

Welding to the caravan or trailer According to the law, the chain holder must be welded for at least 110 mm along its whole length, top and bottom.

The Couplemate chain holder is a key supplier to OEMs and satisfies the loading criteria of Section ADR62/02 Clause 14.4.

Specifications:

• One safety chain is used for trailers under 2.5 t, and two safety chains are used for trailers exceeding 2.5 t.
• Stamp each of the safety chain's four links. For chains with a link diameter of less than 8 mm, the characters on the links are at least 1.5 mm high.
• Chains 8 mm and up must be at least 2 mm high.
• Weld at least half of the chain link horizontally while attaching the safety chain to the chassis.
• As long as the chain holder contains a 4140 steel pin, a hammerlock can be used to secure a safety chain to it.

• Australia is where the 8mm top and bottom plates were laser-cut.

• Unless they are made of high-tensile steel, smaller plates are not advised since they are unlikely to pass the break-load limits tests.

• For caravans up to 2.5t, fasten the chain to the chain holder using a 10mm hammerlock.
• For caravans weighing 2.5 to 3.5 tonnes, fasten the chain to the chain holder with a 13mm hammerlock.
